My sister-in-law sent me a pin to add to my brooch bouquet! It fits perfectly!

Bill and I drove back to VA today and decided to have some adventures on the way. We started with an animal safari at Briarwood Ranch. We did learn that you're not supposed to be the first car in the driving area though - the animals are VERY hungry and follow the cars. It was very frightening for me. Bill loved it though.

We stopped in Roanoke and ate at Texas Tavern, which was delicious! We stopped at a few overlooks and made it home by 7! Whew!

Today was our last full day on our trip in Tennessee. We started with a mini (3 mile) hike to Laurel Falls. It was mostly uphill going there, but it was a lovely trip! I even climbed down to the water and didn't fall! Woo!

Bill and I then went to explore Gatlingburg and took the Sky Lift (fyi: Bill's afraid of heights apparently, but it was a pretty view). We then took the Ober (which took us to an 80's style sky lodge with an outdoor animal park and more!). We ate lunch at the Pancake Pantry (the oldest pancake house in TN) and then went to "The Island" in Pigeon Forge. It was very touristy, but fun to walk around.

A lovely day overall!

Today we started at the Titanic Museum (yes, there is a Titanic Museum in TN!) It was very well done and teachers get in for free (Woohoo!) They had a recording that you could listen to as well as actors in each section. They also had re-creations of several areas of the boat. Overall, I would highly recommend it!

The afternoon started at the Salt and Pepper Museum, which had over 20,000 salt and pepper shakers! It was insane! They were sorted into categories including animals, food, locations, etc. Next, we headed to the Community Craft market, which were spread all over town. It was a lovely afternoon of shopping and wandering!

Today we went to Dollywood! We were up early and got there before they officially opened at 10am (we got there around 9:30). It was lovely because while the rides weren't openyet, we could still walk around the park and check everything out. We had a lovely day on rides, checking out musical performances and exploring. It was in the low 80s too, so the weather was great! We left around 3ish and headed to the Old Mill area for lunch and some shopping. A lovely day!
