First day of school

Lessons from Jury Duty

Today I had jury duty and learned a few things:

1. You can't bring your lunch in unless you're serving on a jury. But, by the time you realize that you're serving on a jury, you've already eaten your lunch in the car.
2. Carrots are good for your complexion apparently.
3. Always bring a sweater. They crank the AC.
4. If you don't bring a pen, you have to borrow one. They're very protective of their pens and won't let you leave until you return it. (I had my #1 Shalom pen, which the officer believed was mine).
5. If the officer asks you wait, you should wait. Otherwise you get locked in a stairwell.

Overall, it was a very interesting experience...
