Mom and I met up in Nashville, TN for three-day weekend and had a wonderful weekend! We arrived on Saturday and went to our hotel (Union Station - amazing!) We spent the first day at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and the Walk of Fame. We also explored around town.
Yesterday we took the Music City Trolley Hop-on/hop-off tour bus! It was a wonderful trip! Our first stop was the Bicentennial Park and Farmer's Market. The park features a walkway that explains all the history of TN from the stone age to 1996! It's beautifully done! We also walked around the Farmer's Market and had lunch inside. Next we headed to the Antique Archaeology, which has Mike Wolfe's shop from American Pickers. Neither one us knew the show, but the shop was neat. We took the bus over to the Parthenon next! Unlike the real on in Greece, we could actually go inside and stand on this one! It was pretty impressive. Our final stop was the Ryman Auditorium. It was a beautiful theater, but the funniest part was that Brenda Lee was there! (I had no idea who she was at the time). We had dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory and then got chocolate at the Savannah Candy Shop!
Today we checked out of the hotel and went to the Gayloard Opryland Resort and Convention Center. It was the biggest hotel I have ever seen! They had a full tropical resort and mall inside! Craziness!
Overall, it was a wonderful trip! I would highly recommend that you visit Nashville!
