Today we did a double feature at the Movie Tavern!
First, we saw "The Wolf on Wall Street."
Plot: Based on the true story of Jordan Belfort, from his rise to a wealthy stockbroker living the high life to his fall involving crime, corruption and the federal government.
Thoughts: What a long movie! Three hours filled with sex, drugs and alcohol. While it was interesting, it was far too long and dragged on. Overall, not impressed.
Second, we saw "Saving Mr. Banks."
Plot: Author P. L. Travers reflects on her difficult childhood while meeting with filmmaker Walt Disney during production for the adaptation of her novel, Mary Poppins.
Thoughts: It was an adorable movie with some tear-jerker moments. Very well done overall and I would recommend it for Disney or Mary Poppins fans.
