Last night Ian and I went to Cheeburger Cheeburger so he could take on the 1-pound Cheeburger Challenge! Ian was quite excited and when the burger arrived he ate it in under 4 minutes... no lie, 4 minutes (I timed him). Apparently, the record is 2 1/2 minutes, which Ian informed me he could do if I didn't talk to him and distract him.
The amazing part was that after he had eaten a 1-pound burger, a basket of fries and drank a milkshake, he was still hungry! He wrote on his picture (which went on the Wall of Fame) "Time for Pizza!"

Last night we went to the Newsday Holiday Light Festival in Melville! It was great fun filled with lights, an ice skating rink and several little shops (see previous entry).
It was super cheap as well ($8 a person!) We walked through the light show and enjoyed the music. Next we had our picture taken with Santa's sleigh and Santa himself! It was actually pretty funny because Santa wished us a Merry Christmas to which Ian responded, "We're Jewish!" Well, then Santa asked what we got for Hanukkah! He was very interested in my waffle maker...
Then we headed over the ice skating rink and enjoyed about 45 minutes of skating! It was a beautiful evening and there weren't many people on the ice.
All in all, a really fun event! I highly recommend it!
Today I went to give blood and made the iron count! WOO! The lady recommended that I donate ALYX because I'm 0-. Through ALYX, donors are able to give two units of red cells during one visit – providing double the impact for patients requiring the most critically needed blood types.
It was a really easy process! It took about 20-25 minutes, and used a smaller needle than a typical donation! The fluid was replaced back into my body, which reduced tiredness and the feeling of dizziness from a normal blood donation.
