First day of school

Crazy day in NYC!

Today I went into NYC and boy, was it crazy!

We went in and met friends at the Shake Shack. It was quite delicious! The burgers were really good and the fries were nice and crisp! We also got a black and white shake and that was not heavy! We took our food and walked over to Times Square and ate on the giant steps. In the middle of our meal a flash mob dancing to "Day by Day" from Godspell broke out! How crazy! It was really neat though.

Then we walked to High Line! The High Line is located on Manhattan's West Side. It runs from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District to West 34th Street, between 10th & 11th Avenues.

We walked about 20 blocks. The weather was beautiful and the walk was lovely.

Next we headed to Chinatown to look for jewerly and pocketbooks. I was successful and got two lovely pocketbooks! We walked up and down and shopped until we dropped.

Then we went back to Times Square to check the TKS booth. However, apparently there was a giant protest going on that we got stuck in. We also saw Michael Moore walking around. It was rather scary, but we did finally make it to the booth and get tickets to see "Follies."

We went to the Marriott and had dinner at the Broadway club. Then we walked around their gift shop. "Follies" was very well done - GREAT cast and everyone got a solo. Good show!

It was a crazy day!
