First day of school

Yesterday Ian and I drove to MA to visit Dave. On the way, we stopped at Yale (it seemed like a good place to stop!) We ended up walking around for 14 minutes (that's how much time we had on the parking meter) and visiting the music building.

When we got to MA we decided to visit some other colleges along our adventures! We stopped at Holyoke, Hampshire College, Amherst and UMass.
-At Holyoke we saw the CTY site (in lovely South Hadley)
-At Hampshire College we went to the world’s largest Yiddish Library (actually quite large!)
-At Amherst College we just drove through – there was a lot of construction
-At UMass we went to the band building and saw Staluppi!

Then we headed to Vermont for some ice cream (and because Ian and I had never been there!) We stopped at the welcome center, which was lovely. We went to this campground that Dave’s friend worked at, and got some delicious ice cream (I got moose tracks!) We sat for a bit and enjoyed the scenery before heading to New Hampshire (also somewhere I’ve never been). We stopped a fireworks store and walked around for a bit. Then we went back to Amherst for some wings!

Today we got up and went to the Cracker Barrel for breakfast before getting on the road. All in all, a wonderful road trip! Five states, five colleges, and lots of laughs!
