First day of school

Gnomeo and Juliet!

Yesterday we went to see Gnomeo and Juliet at Movie Tavern (one of my favorite places)

It was adorable! They had some great jokes, especially when the Shakespeare statue appeared and started talking about the actual ending of the play. The gnomes were great and they had some wonderful random characters appear! All in all a wonderful movie!

Here's just one review:

This animated movie, produced by Elton John and David Furnish, retells the story of Romeo and Juliet through the escalating conflict between the blue and red gnomes in the gardens of adjoining houses occupied by the Montague and Capulet families in a London suburban terrace. The voices are provided by leading British actors ranging from Jason Statham as Tybalt to Patrick Stewart as Shakespeare (in his case a statue, not a gnome). A lot of thought, love and (on the part of the animators) hard work has gone into this picture, and it even has a happy ending, though what Shakespeare himself sees, to his evident pleasure, is an atomic mushroom in the far distance.
