First day of school

Alernate plans...

Well, the farewell Sammi Ro tour was altered today.

It started out well - Dad and I went to the blood center (where I didn't make the blood count... sigh) but I did get to say goodbye to Debbie. We stopped by Borders (we had a coupon) and then got my oil changed.

However, as I started to drive to the Cheesecake Factory in Westbury to meet Adam I was in an accident.

I was sitting in the left hand lane Merritt's road stopped because the person in front of me was turning and this girl came up behind me and couldn't stop. She slammed into my car, pushing me forward. I did have pretty good reflexes because I managed to serve to the right so I missed the car in front of me. However, because of the force that I was hit at, I hit my head pretty hard on the head rest. We pulled into a nearby parking lot and I called Mom and Dad. They came right away and we called the police.

It appears that because the girl's car was lower than mine she slammed into the lower part of my bumper. She just scratched it up a bit. It's pretty low, so you can't really see it. She did do some damage to her car though - she broke her headlight and dented the front. Go Felix for beating up another car.

I did end up going to the hospital because I had a headache and neck pain. They told me that I have a strain in my neck and a "Head Injury - No Wake Up" (which we take to mean I didn't pass out). Basically, rest and take some advil. If it gets worse go back. I spent the rest of the day taking care of paperwork (thank goodness for Geico!) and resting. Dad and I watched several episodes of Bones.

Always an adventure. But, thankfully, I'm okay.
