First day of school

The evils of summer camp...

There are three deadly things that can happen at summer camps:

1. Head Lice
2. Pink Eye
3. Vomiting

Of course, we have vomiting. I got a phone call at 5:15Am this morning that a children had thrown up (thank goodness he made it to the garbage pail!) And we had a girl throw up this morning in Library Square. Ew. Two of the RAs have had this and a bunch of the kids too... ew ew ew ew ew.

Dad wrote a poem about it:
CTY is a germ factory of some sort every summer. We even wrote a haiku about it:

Go, little children
And please take your germs with you.
Ah-choo! Goddammit!
First day of school

Another dreadful thing to hit summer camps...

Let's talk about Thunderstorms.

I hate thunderstorms. My least favorite thunderstorm event is when you have 18 out of 20 RAs and halls trapped in the metal dinning shed during dinner time and can't leave because of the downpour, thunder and lightening. That's 230+ children, 20 adults and craziness.

Not fun. Not fun at all.
