First day of school

It snowed last night...

So, I went to UMass this weekend. Let’s start out on Saturday morning at 6am when I woke up Scotty and we headed off around 6:30. Here was our plan: Scotty and I would drive to Boston, I would drop him off to at BU (to be with Krysten) and pick up Alex and we would go to UMass to see Allie, David, Scott, and tubas. Well, the plan worked!

Scotty and I got to Boston around 10:30ish and Alex met us in front of Krysten’s dorm on his unicycle. Yes, you read that right, his unicycle. Anyway, we dropped of Scotty and drove to UMass. Along the way Alex discovered that pouring his bad apple juice out the window was not the best idea… it ended up on his arm instead (I’m still not sure how that happened!) Anyway, so we got to UMass and met up with David and Scott and headed over to Allie’s dorm. The guys knew where she lived, so we walked in (well, Alex unicycled) and we surprised her! So, we kidnapped her and went all went out to diner for breakfast/lunch/some meal.

Now, it’s been said that I know everyone everywhere, which can’t be true. However, this weekend didn’t help that rumor. We walked into this diner (in the middle of MA) and who did I see, but Jackie Marcel! (We went to high school together.) So, we chatted for a few minutes and when I sat back down at the table they were talking about how I know everyone. Oh well!

Well, we all ate and then dropped Alex and Allie off at Allie’s brother’s house (they went to the movies). Scott, David and I went over to visit Courtney, who was working on the band movie and then ran some random errands. These included Barnes and Noble and some Big Y (a supermarket). We then picked up Courtney and went to visit Mr. George Parks, their band director. It turns out that he was having his Christmas tree delivered, so the guys helped put it up. Then they borrowed his game of “Axis and Allies” (they’re all playing it together on Tuesday and wanted to learn), and I got to see the guillotine man. Yeah, you don’t want to know. So, we returned to the dorm and hung out for a bit before David brought me to Allie’s dorm to hang out.

I stayed at Allie’s for a few hours chilling and just hanging out. We met her friends and watched MTV. It was fun. J After bringing over Alex’s stuff (it was in my car) I went back to David and Scott’s room and we ordered wings. They were really good (and I’m not just saying that because I was really hungry). We watched some movies, hung out, I did some homework, David read, Scott ran around, Country and Jackisly played Beach Boy’s music… it was a good time.

Finally around 2:30 I got ready for bed. However, David and Scott were not going to let me sleep for a while. Every time I tried to sleep one of them would say, “Tell me a story” or start to tickle me. Either way, it didn’t get to sleep for a long time. However, at 10am my mother and father called to tell me that it had snowed (which I didn’t know) That didn’t stop me from going back to bed for a bit and finally getting up at 11:30. CymbalJohn and Melissa came over and we made Hello Kitty waffles and then it was time for me to head on my way.

Alex decided to stay longer, so it was just me driving back to Boston. It took about two hours because of the weather, which was basically passed by me singing at the top of my lungs to several Broadway CDs. I picked up Scotty around 3:45 (a little later than expected, but still good) and we went on our way home. The weather was pretty bad until we got to NY, but we made it in about 4 hours… not bad at all!

So, all in all I had a fun weekend. It was great visiting everyone and I love road trips. Oh, I also hit 6000 miles on my car. In the past four weeks I’ve put on more miles than I have in the past two years. J

First day of school

randomness from the RA office...

I'm only on duty until 7:30 tonight, but for now here I sit, in the RA office watching the Disney Channel and eating a chicken sandwich. Just for the records, my size 12 jeans fit like butter! Amazing! Becky told me that I look great. :)
First day of school

The Danceworks show rocked :)

I saw the Danceworks Fall Concert and it was amazing. This song was also awesome!

"Hanging By a Thread" - Jann Arden

When I cry, I close my eyes
And every tear falls down inside
And I pray with all my might
That I will find my heart in someone’s arms
When I cry, cry

When I cry
When I am sad I think of every awful thing I ever did
Oh when I cry, there is no love,
No there is nothing that can comfort me enough
When I cry,
Cry, cry

The salt inside my body ruins everyone I come close to
My hands are barely holding up my head
I am so tired of looking at my feet
Or all the secrets that I keep

My heart is barely hangin’ by a thread
Hangin’ by a thread

Oh look at me
At all I’ve done
I’ve lost so many things that I so dearly love
I lost my soul
I lost my pride
Oh I lost any hope of having a sweet life
So I cry,
Cry, cry

Oh the salt inside my body ruins everyone I come close to
My hands are barely holding up my head
Oh I’m so tired of looking at my feet
And all the secrets that I keep
My heart is barely hangin’ by a thread
Hangin’ by a thread

I miss you all
I wish I was with you now
I wish I was
