So, I went to UMass this weekend. Let’s start out on Saturday morning at when I woke up Scotty and we headed off around . Here was our plan: Scotty and I would drive to
Scotty and I got to
Now, it’s been said that I know everyone everywhere, which can’t be true. However, this weekend didn’t help that rumor. We walked into this diner (in the middle of MA) and who did I see, but Jackie Marcel! (We went to high school together.) So, we chatted for a few minutes and when I sat back down at the table they were talking about how I know everyone. Oh well!
Well, we all ate and then dropped Alex and Allie off at Allie’s brother’s house (they went to the movies). Scott, David and I went over to visit Courtney, who was working on the band movie and then ran some random errands. These included Barnes and Noble and some Big Y (a supermarket). We then picked up Courtney and went to visit Mr. George Parks, their band director. It turns out that he was having his Christmas tree delivered, so the guys helped put it up. Then they borrowed his game of “Axis and Allies” (they’re all playing it together on Tuesday and wanted to learn), and I got to see the guillotine man. Yeah, you don’t want to know. So, we returned to the dorm and hung out for a bit before David brought me to Allie’s dorm to hang out.
I stayed at Allie’s for a few hours chilling and just hanging out. We met her friends and watched MTV. It was fun. J After bringing over Alex’s stuff (it was in my car) I went back to David and Scott’s room and we ordered wings. They were really good (and I’m not just saying that because I was really hungry). We watched some movies, hung out, I did some homework, David read, Scott ran around, Country and Jackisly played Beach Boy’s music… it was a good time.
Finally around 2:30 I got ready for bed. However, David and Scott were not going to let me sleep for a while. Every time I tried to sleep one of them would say, “Tell me a story” or start to tickle me. Either way, it didn’t get to sleep for a long time. However, at 10am my mother and father called to tell me that it had snowed (which I didn’t know) That didn’t stop me from going back to bed for a bit and finally getting up at 11:30. CymbalJohn and Melissa came over and we made Hello Kitty waffles and then it was time for me to head on my way.
Alex decided to stay longer, so it was just me driving back to Boston. It took about two hours because of the weather, which was basically passed by me singing at the top of my lungs to several Broadway CDs. I picked up Scotty around 3:45 (a little later than expected, but still good) and we went on our way home. The weather was pretty bad until we got to NY, but we made it in about 4 hours… not bad at all!
So, all in all I had a fun weekend. It was great visiting everyone and I love road trips. Oh, I also hit 6000 miles on my car. In the past four weeks I’ve put on more miles than I have in the past two years. J
