What you may ask is this? Well, this is what I’ll be done from Wednesday, August 10th until (hopefully) Tuesday, August 23rd! (I may be coming home on the 19th from Spain so that I can go to RA training on Sunday, but that’s a work in progress)!!! ::insert dance of EXTEME joy here::

Anyway, today was a wonderful day too! It started off normally with getting up, breakfast, hand-off, and our RA meeting. After the meeting I went to the RA office and worked on the yearbook for a while. The kid book is done (I just need the collage from Allie and Alex) and I just got a major chunk done of the staff one tonight with the help of Laura! I also called Hofstra in the process to figure out how to pay my bill. Alex was sitting next to me the whole time working on origami, which was great. Everyone time I got put on hold I would freak out and he would laugh. So, then we ran over to lunch and at noon we all went kayaking! It was SO MUCH FUN! We ended up with a massive group: me, Laura, Allie, Kim, Jess, Matt W., Alex, David, Andrew, and Matt H. Laura and I ended up sharing a kayak, which was cool. We went out under the bridge and floated for a while. During that time we got into a flipping over war and just hung out. Eventually we went back and found Charissa, Beth and Sarah there. After cleaning up the boats and supplies I ran back to school with David and then we met up with everyone at Sam’s for smoothies. There was a little street fair going on too that was really cute.

So, we hung out there for a bit and then returned to school where I showered and changed. Kim and I went over to the office and I did some random stuff. Then I picked up the girls, we had our hall meeting/hall time, and went to dinner. Alex’s new thing (my husband) is that he calls me “wife” and I call him “husband.” Our kids are calling us Mom and Dad now too… oddness. Anyway, after dinner I signed the girls up for activities next week and then we had our activities for the evening. First I did “Yarn Adventures” with Vanessa which consisted of knitting and crocheting. I taught five girls how to crochet and they did a great job! Half way through Braveheart came to visit (about 60 kids in face paint run through screaming FREEDOM!) It was quite humorous. After our yarn fun I played Catch Phrase with Laura, which also went well. They were doing Ninja training, which was just funny to watch because the kids couldn’t stop talking! Bad ninja! No talking!

After activities we returned to the dorm and everyone got ready for bed. Lights out was at 9:30 and I met Laura at 10:15ish. We dropped off David’s guitar and went over to the apartments. We wandered around for a bit (saw my Dad, talked to random people and got pictures from Becca) Then Laura and I went over to the office and printed out, cut out, and wrote the names of people on the yearbook pages. It was a lot of work done, which rocked.

So now here I sit in my pjs eating Andrew’s cookies. It was a wonderful day and I’m so totally excited about this cruise! My Mom rocks for planning this! J Dream well all.
