First day of school

sitting in the RA office...

So, once again here I sit in the RA office, however, this time the space bar seems to be working (for the moment, that could change at any second) Anyway, I’m sitting here watching “50 First Dates” (again) and waiting to see if anyone comes in or calls. I’ve got nothing so far. Today we had new RA interviews and I was in the community builder room. The actual activity was a bit boring and we had at least one kid in each group who said we didn’t need door tags, but the ice breakers were fun. We did everything from act out your favorite movie lines, to sing/dance, to what do you hate/love about the opposite sex. The other RA’s in my room were fun too.

Yesterday Mom and I went and saw “The Gates” in central park... they were AMAZING! You wouldn’t think that something as simple as orange fabric hanging from orange poles would be interesting, but there was something about their simplicity that just made you feel happy. I think it had something to do with the bright orange color and the fact that there were so many of them... they stretched over 23 miles! They’re gone next week – so if you have a chance, go see them!

Anyway, that’s it for now. I’m going to go back to my movie (which will be over soon, so I’ll rewind it and watch it again, as usual) Have a wonderful evening all! :)
