First day of school

Being an RA is fun...

Today was a very long day in RA land. I think it just seemed longer because I didn’t want to sit through more training again… ugh! Actually, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I ended up sitting with Janine and Joyce and we joked our way through everything. We had to sit through the boring guy from the Saltzman center, but Alex and I played dots… that was exciting. We had a small break before in-house though, so Alex and I went and printed out our nametags, which we finished after dinner. They turned out pretty nicely. We had our in-house (including pizza and meeting) and then went back to work. So I’ve spent my night making/hanging door tags, making our welcome sign, hanging up my new flyers on my tack strips, reworking my open door hours, filling out some paperwork stuff and cleaning up. A few of my residents were around too, so it was nice to stop and visit.
Tomorrow we have another full day of training ending with dinner and our awards ceremony. I’m then on duty all night…. it’s going to be a quiet weekend though, so that’s good. Saturday we have the basketball game against Delaware and Sunday I’m on duty from 9-12am in the RA office for check-ins. I have also heard about 15 different weather reports ranging from no snow to 23 inches – any idea what we’re supposed to get?
So, that’s about all that’s going on here. Right now I’m answering e-mails and watching Disney channel. My life is very exciting, I know. I hope everyone has a lovely evening :)
